Simply sign up or log in, then start adding Projects which will be visible on your Deck.
On your Deck you should see the Create Project button where you can add a Project Title, Description and any images relating to the Project.
Once you’ve created your Project, the system will invite you to start adding Roles to your Project. You can create as many Roles as is necessary for your Project.
A participant is either another member of your Casting Team, for example, your casting associate or assistant. Another participant could also be a Creative Partner, for example, your director, producer or client.
Actors can only upload a Tape for a Role if they’ve been invited to by the Casting Team. Each Role within a Project has a unique Upload Link, which you or someone from the Casting Team can send to the Actor via their Agent along with the sides and all other relevant information regarding the tape.
No. They can only send one Tape. If an Actor tries to upload more than one, it will automatically delete the previous Tape they uploaded.
Yes. For example, an Artists Declaration or NDA can be attached along with the Tape, which can be downloaded from TapeDeck.
No. Each Tape will auto populate itself into the specific Role, according to the Upload Link that was sent to the Actor. The Tape will be shown alongside the Actors name, their headshot and any documentation. It’s all done for you!
Nope! It’s a cloud based server so you can view hundreds of Tapes without ever needing to download one.
Yes. Very! Every user on the platform must have a profile to ensure security.
Yes. Simply click the star button next to the Tape it the Favourited Tapes will auto populate themselves to the top of the viewing list.
You can click the Send Feedback button on the right of the Tape menu. This will lead you to the Tape Overview page, where you can submit direct feedback to the Actor and leave a comment for the Creative team.
No. Only Casting Teams and Creatives can see comments left on a Tape.
You can change the status of a Role by clicking the Change Role Status button, where you can choose from Recalls, Under Offer or Cast. This will notify anyone who has uploaded a Tape that the Role Status has changed.
There are three ways
a Creative can view
the Tape:
■ Once they’ve been added as a Creative to a Project,
they can create a
TapeDeck profile and all their relevant Projects and the
Roles within it
will be viewable on their own Deck. They can sign in and
view the Tapes.
■ You can send a shortlist of Favourited Tapes to the
Creative by clicking
the Share Favourites button and entering their
email.
■ You can send an individual Tape by pressing the Share
This Tape button on
the Tape Overview page on a specific Tape then enter the
email of the
recipient.
Follow the Upload Link for the Role you’ve been asked to tape for, create your account and upload your Tape. The system will do the rest!
At the moment, TapeDeck can accept .MP4 and .MOV files.
Sure! You can submit up to three documents with your Tape.
No, if you don’t upload a new picture with your Tape, the system will use the photo from your Account as the headshot.
No, you can only upload one Tape per Role. If you upload another using the Upload Link, it will automatically replace your previous Tape.
Anyone who has been requested to submit a Tape can do so for free. If you wish, you can upgrade your account to receive extra features and benefits.
